According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Creative Economy, the creative economy is a vital and growing contributor to growth and employment in many countries, particularly in advanced industrial nations. It spans sectors such as advertising, broadcasting, architecture, arts/culture, craft, design, fashion, music, publishing, and technology. In Britain, the creative industries contributed £84.1 billion to the economy in 2014, and grew almost twice as fast as the rest of publicly traded companies in the UK.
